ABOUT
Camille was born in Newark, New Jersey to an Italian father and Irish mother. She had a fiery spirit and a love for drama from a very young age. Camille spent her childhood growing up in South Florida where she attended Pine Crest School from kindergarten to 12th grade. She performed in all the school plays, and in her Senior year staged a production of Samuel Becket's Endgame. She was awarded the Miami Herald Silver Knight Award for excellence in drama and community service.
Camille went on to attend Trinity College, Hartford's prestigious liberal arts school, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in Theater and Dance. Spending her sophomore year at the Trinity/La Mama Performing Arts Program in NYC, Camille interned with The Living Theater, Judith Malina's revolutionary and provocative theater company. After graduation, Camille traveled to various cities and worked with some of the country's most innovative directors. She joined Tina Packer's Shakespeare and Company in Lennox, MA where she performed two outdoor Shakespeare performances a day, what many refer to as "the Olympics of acting". Determined to work with director Robert Woodruff, Camille traveled to Des MacAnuff's La Jolla Playhouse and joined Woodruff and The Flying Karamazov Brothers in their production of Le Petomane.
Camille's extensive resume includes work in film, television, theater, and commercials. She appeared as the barfly Loretta on Frasier opposite Kelsey Grammer and Anthony LaPaglia, on David Allen Grier’s TV show Chocolate News. Other film credits include Jerry Bruckheimer’s Pearl Harbor, the Oscar Winning Live Action Short My Mother Dreams Satan's Disciples in NYC, Maurice Jamal’s Ski Trip 2, and The Buffalo Son. Camille also appeared as Kendra’s etiquette coach on the E! reality show The Girls Next Door. On the New York stage, Camille received accolades for her performance as Jean Harlow in a revival production of Michael McClure's The Beard and is proud of originating the role of Renata in Vaclav Havel's Slum Clearance and Bunny in Suzanne Bradbeer's Bethleham, PA. She has performed at notable regional theaters such as David Mamet’s Atlantic Theater Company, HBO Workspace, The American Repertory Theater, Florida Stage, The New Theater, City Theater, and Highways Performance Space.
Following her instincts to write what she knows and create her own opportunities, Camille partnered with another Hollywood talent Glory Simon to write Busted!, a feature length female driven comedy. The pivotal script gained attention for the budding writers at Sundance, and Carida and Simon were quickly hired alongside Matthew Hoffman (What the Bleep Do We Know) to pen the romantic comedy Til Love Do Us Part. As one of the few female comic book creators, Camille broke ground with her published graphic novel LICK-IT MAN, a chick witty spin on the American superhero. LICK-IT MAN is a #1 bestselling ebook in 3 categories on Amazon.
Camille made her directorial debut with the short film Winner Takes All. She currently studies with top acting coach Ivana Chubbuck. She lives in the Silverlake area of Los Angeles and has a mind reading cat named Cisco.
